Can't get to Florida? You can still attend! Read on...
The juggernaut of reason known as the Humanists of Florida Association (HFA) is holding their annual convention again. This group is one of the largest Humanist membership organizations in the country, so you can pretty much count on it being full of awesome.
I know several of the speakers (a couple of them pretty well) and I can tell you with great confidence that you’re not going to want to miss this. The HFA has been around for a really long time, is extremely well organized and they put on a hell of a conference.
Here’s a short video clip about the conference:
Of course, if you can possibly get down to the University of Central Florida in Orlando on November 2-3, 2013, your time and money will be well spent.
Can’t Get to Florida..?
Some of you might be thinking, “Wow, I’d love to see this, but I just can’t get to Florida.” Well, your worries are over, my friends. If you can’t make the trip, they are bringing the conference to you! You can watch it in the comfort of your very own wherever you feel comfortable place.
For a mere twelve dollars, you can get in on the live stream and see James Randi, Dale McGowan, Seth Andrews, Nate Phelps, Darrel Ray, Dave Silverman, D.J. Grothe, Alix Jules, Sarah Morehead, Daniel Fincke, Jennifer Hancock, Bridgett Crutchfield, and David Williamson.
And did I mention the calendar? They’ve got this very cool calendar that you can buy from between fifteen and twenty bucks, depending on whether or not your attending the conference and if you want to get one pre-autographed by all the speakers or you’d rather chase them down and get their signatures on your own.

Seriously, this is going to be an outstanding event, so at least cough up the $12.00 for the live stream. And if you are thinking that this blog post is nothing more than me shilling for these people, you’re damned right I am. There aren’t too many events that I would put on a “don’t miss” list, but this is one of them.
